A U.S.-based marine biologist travels to a remote fishing village in Newfoundland, Canada to investigate a repeatedly stranded humpback whale, only to confront long-buried emotions tied to the coastal home she left behind in China.

一位旅居海外的华人海洋生物学家来到纽芬兰偏远的渔村，试图营救一头搁浅的鲸鱼，却在与当地村民的相处中，逐渐被牵引回自己在中国南方渔村的童年记忆。面对鲸鱼的生死、陌生土地的孤独与村民的善意，她不得不直面埋藏已久的创伤与未解的内疚，在跨越文化与地域的回声中，重新理解人与自然、离散与归属的意义。
